C.V. fishermen haul in trout on Lake Shasta

Recently, nine starved-for-the-outdoors Castro Valley fishermen took to interstate 5, heading for Lake Shasta. They were loaded to the
gills (ha, ha) with 30 fishing poles and towing three high-performance fishing boats decked out with GPS systems, electronic
downriggers, and multiple gas and electric motors.

The purpose for all of this high-tech equipment was to aid in the "hooking of the Big One"

Upon arrival at the Jones Valley Resort , the Bassacapaders boarded a state-of-the-art, split-level houseboat. It sleeps 16 and is fitted
with a fireplace, two refrigerators and a hot tub on the upper deck.

That first night, after a delicious dinner on board, the guys turned in for night filled with dreams of catching the big one. The following day,
the excitement mounted as they began their two-day tournament.

On day one,
Scott Clare's custom Department of Fish and Research Boat, with anglers Guy Warren and Neal Long manning the decks,
caught six fish: two trout, three kings and one kokanee.

The Caravelle boat crew, including
Dalton Jiminez and Dustin Roberts, captained by  Mark Scheidt, hooked two kings and one rainbow
trout.

On baored the Bay Runner Boat, Captain
Willie Arnold, with Dwight Roberts and Randy Branaugh, caught one kokanee and one 4-pound
king.

After the guys completed a second day of their tournament, it went like this: biggest fish -  Randy Branaugh;most fish - Scott Clare, Guy
Warren, Neal Long;most bass - Mark Scheidt, Dustin Roberts, Dalton Jiminez; no fish - Dwight Roberts.

Just goes to show that even with state-of-the-art equipment and amazing teamwork, sometimes the fish win.

LOP Black Bass Record Broken!
03/04/07

Once again the L.O.P. record has been shattered by
none other than, “The Fishin Magician,” Royce
Valencia. Accompanied by the love of his life, Sue
Slyvester, R.V. was able to reel in the big bass on hes St.
Croix
pole equipped with a Quantum reel fishing a black with
blue flake Gary Yamamoto Sinko. The female bass hit
on the 1st drop. After a 7 minute battle RV was able to
rope the fish to the dock cleat until there was an official
weigh-in. D.R. arrived to weigh the fish on a recently
calculated scale. The bass weighed in at 7lbs 7ozs. A
New Record! This fish is 2lbs heavier than the last
record he caught in 06/25/07. RV stated he would be
back  in 07' to fish again. He only fishes Trophy Fish!

R.V. stated "It's just Karma," he was in his Dept. of Fish
Research shirt when D.R. asked him to go to L.O.P.

I guess everything
IS bigger in Texas.
On March 13, 2008 the California Water Fowl Association had there annual fund
raising dinner in Castro Valley. Each year BSR Realty Inc. supports the event by
purchasing a front table  in an effort to aid in the increased protection of
California's wet lands. This year three BWA Brethern attended the event. In
attendance was Scott Clare, Scott Paulsen, and Dwight Roberts. Other
attendees included Dustin Roberts, Daniel Beck, Willie Arnold, and Tim Emling,
all members of the crack BSR Realty Team.

The spread at S.C. house could not have been better.  The comments by brethren to S.C. for the hamburgers and
bean salad with brownies was truly a treat.  6 out of 6 brethren attended.
On 4/18/08 Brethren Mike Engeldinger Celibrates his 54 birthday by
playing golf with the brethren at the dublin ranch golf course.
Dustin Roberts son of Dwight Roberts and Matt Christiansen also
played.  Low net winner of the day was Matt Christiansen.  2nd low
net was Dustin Roberts.  It appears that when the BWA Brethren are
handcuffed by blind boggies the boys ca beat there fathers.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
FROM THE B.W.A. FAMILIES AND FRIENDS

A Christmas Story

On the 14th of December BWA
Brethren RV along with his wife
Sue hosted the annual BWA
Christmas party at their home.
The Holiday decorations set the
theme for a wonderful Christmas
Party. Three BWA children
attended (although briefly) Tori
and Sierra Valencia, as well as
Candice Christiansen were kind
enough to grace the party with
there presence. In addition the
BWA members were blessed with
the fact that all of their beautiful
wives were able to attend the
festivities. As the night quickly
progressed, the BWA members
and their wives enjoyed each
others company while singing
Christmas Carols as brethern
Scott Paulsen played "Silent
Night" on the piano.
